Privacy Policy

noise is a concert-discovery app for iPhone made by Jack Consenstein in San Francisco. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to sign you in and to learn your taste in shows, we don’t sell any of it, there are no ads, and your location never leaves your phone.

What we collect

• Account.You sign in with Apple. We receive the email address Apple shares (which can be Apple’s private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email”) and use it only to identify your account.
• Listening & browsing activity. As you use the feed, the app records which shows you view, save, skip, share, and tap tickets on, and how much of each audio preview you play. This is what teaches the feed your taste. It syncs to our backend tied to your account and an anonymous per-install device identifier, along with the app version and an optional display name if you set one.
• Location — on your phone only. If you allow location access, it is used on-device to show how far each venue is from you. Your coordinates are never uploaded or stored on our servers.

What we don’t do

• No selling or renting of your data, to anyone, ever.
• No ads and no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
• No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, and no use of Apple’s advertising identifier.

Services we rely on

• Supabase hosts our sign-in and database (the show catalog and the activity log described above).
• Appleprovides Sign in with Apple, and the 30-second audio previews come from Apple’s public iTunes preview service — fetching one sends the artist’s name to Apple, like a search.
• JamBasesupplies concert listings; show artwork loads from the listing’s image host.

Retention & deletion

Activity data older than 180 days is dropped from your device. Signing out clears your saved shows and taste data from the phone. To delete your account and its server-side data entirely, email jconsenstein@gmail.comfrom your sign-in address and we’ll remove it.

The share pages on this site are static listings. We don’t set cookies and don’t run analytics here.

Children

noise is not directed at children under 13.
